What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most all Decks & Patio cover pricing can be equated to square foot cost. There are to many variables of design & different materials possible to list. we break all this down on are proposals, we line Item all details of construction on paper for you to make comparable decisions.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to ask a series of questions about your project. who, what, where, when, why. the more information we have about your wants & needs. Greatly helps are on site visit to be more productive. How did you get started doing this type of work? Started doing wood work, carpentry in high school as a class always love making things, My father always said if you find something you love to do, and can make a living at it. that is a definition of a perfect career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We will work with anyone who has a need for our service. that’s looking for a quality built job in a timely manner.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We have at least 3 or 4 potential clients every season that will choose some one else because they were $100 to $500 cheaper. the reason I know is that some of them come back to us and tell us of their horror stories. one client told us he lost $10,000 dollars and was still losing money trying to recover some of his losses.

- ✅ Serious companies will advertise on their vehicles. Do they have logos or marked vehicles? WE HAVE
- ✅ How long have they been in business in DFW? SINCE 1973 — 49 years and thousands of completed projects & satisfied clients
- ✅ Do they have thousands of completed project pictures and a website? WE HAVE
- ✅ Do they advertise regularly? WE DO
- ✅ Do they have a clean record with the BBB? WE DO (You don’t have to be a member to have a good or bad record.)
- ✅ Are they who they say they are? Ask for I.D.
- 🚫 If they ask for money without or before signing a binding contract or work order — and don’t have an address, I.D., storefront, or marked vehicle — you might want to think twice… do your research!
- ✅ Are they knowledgeable about the scope of work you’re asking them to do?
- ✅ Do they get permits if required?
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
- Always have a realistic budget in mind.
- Make sure all decision-makers are present at the meeting. The more input the designer receives upfront, the better they can tailor the design to your needs — and the less likely you’ll run into issues later on.
FYI 95% of failing Contractor / customer relationships are do to the lack of understanding & communication of the design phase. between all parties.
If you are talking about creating & spending thousands of dollars. WHY WOULD THIS NOT BE IMPORTANT.
Keep in mind, please allow for scheduled appointments they usually take at least 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the complexity of your project.
